The fencing club of Maccabi Ashdod has been active for many years and continues to produce outstanding fencers across all age groups, under professional guidance and dedicated coaching staff. The club aims to nurture athletes towards national and international competitions.

Maccabi Ashdod Fencing Club – Growing with the City

Children (Ages 8–11):

Begin their journey in the fencing world during the first year of study.
Focus on movement fundamentals, coordination, physical fitness, motor and elementary fencing games, and the basic technical foundations of fencing.

Youth (Ages 12–18):

Advanced athletes who continue their second year and beyond with the club.
Training in advanced techniques, bout tactics, speed and agility, bout analysis, and personalized instruction.

Adults:

A dedicated adult fencing group – some are former competitive athletes who returned to activity, while others fell in love with the sport later in life.
Combines high-level coaching with a welcoming and social atmosphere.

The fencing division of Maccabi Ashdod continues to solidify itself as one of the leading divisions in Israel, with impressive achievements both individually and as a team at the national level.

In recent years, the division has recorded significant achievements in national competitions.

Prominent Representation in Competitions Nationally and Internationally

Alon Eizildar – Youth national team fencer, at age 15 reached second place in the National Championships – an impressive result on the national level.

Women’s Team Foil – Second place in the Israeli National Championships, after a close final against Jerusalem.
